3-31-25   THOUGHTS

Michael spoke of humility in our service yesterday.  His anchor verse was Micah 6:8.   Our reading approaches that idea.  Proper motivation seeks the glory of God, not self!  Love must have right motivation!  Read the first several verses of 1Corinthians 13.   Verse 17 below, is interesting in that it says
we will know “if we do”!  An experiential learning is addressed here.  We learn from God’s Words, but as we practice what we know and believe, a deeper learning is forged.  This becomes a “feedback - circle/loop”,  allowing upward growth.  We come TO KNOW!  God’s presence is increasingly REAL!  SEEK GOD’S GLORY...  NEVER YOUR  OWN!  How powerfully fun, if we will just make it work.  The old song ends with  “Right Was The Pathway... Leading To This.”  The song has to do with LIGHT!

John 7:11-18    So the Jews were seeking Him at the feast and were saying, "Where is He?"
12  There was much grumbling among the crowds concerning Him; some were saying, "He is a good man"; others were saying, "No, on the contrary, He leads the people astray." 13  Yet no one was speaking openly of Him for fear of the Jews. 14  But when it was now the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and began to teach. 15  The Jews then were astonished, saying, "How has this man become learned, having never been educated?"  16  So Jesus answered them and said, "My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. 17  "If anyone
is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself.  18  "He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

My Prayer:
Father, may we become skillful in Your ways of learning.  Help us to do what we believe, that we might more fully believe in what we do. Grow us deeper and deeper into Your presence and into our  fellowship with one another.  May pure love and clean hearts empower us through this life. May we be a force in this world and not just a placeholder.  Help us to seek You with all of our heart,  as we stretch toward that promise of eternal hope.  All praise and thanksgiving are for You our God!    In the name of our Savior...   Amen.
